This guide will explain how to launch a form in the Formyoula app and prefill the form fields by scanning the QR code.
- Setup a Form to Launch:
- In this example, we'll demonstrate launching a form that prefills fields with Salesforce data. (You can use the attached example form). Or please check out this guide on how to prefill form fields using the Salesforce Prefill field - https://guides.formyoula.com/public-guides/salesforce-prefill-field.
- We are using a “Hidden” field. We will prefill it with the record ID using the Query Parameters on the QR code URL.
- We are using that “Hidden” field as the “Formyoula Parent Field” on the “Salesforce Prefill” field.
- So the “Salesforce Prefill” field will prefill the form fields based on the record ID in the “Hidden” field.
- Create a QR Code With Query Parameters on The URL:
- Click “More Options” under “Actions” on the Dashboard.
- Click the “Create QR Codes” helper form.
- Enter the URL to generate the QR code as shown below.
- Here,
- 673ed72d732d79002d30e153 is the form ID of the Formyoula form. You can copy the form ID from the form edit URL.
- 8401-0d72-588e is the field ID of the Hidden field on the form.
- 0015j000011pzt7AAA is the Salesforce Record ID. You can copy the Record ID from the record details page URL.
- Test Your form:
- Scanning the QR code with your device's camera will launch the form in the Formyoula App and prefill the form fields.
