Update Form Fields Conditionally

This guide will explain how to update form fields conditionally.

  1. Initial Setup:
  • Drag and drop three “Text” fields and a “Conditional Field Updates” field onto your form.
  • Rename the fields as needed.

  1. Configuring The “Conditional Field Updates” Field:
  • Click the pencil icon on the “Conditional Field Updates” field.
  • You can add a condition as per your requirement.
  • Please check out this example below.
    1. Here,

    2. Field 1 = 2267-7017-fc1d is the field ID of the “Text” field called “Value 1”
    3. Operator= equals
    4. Field 2 = 4a24-1871-6977 is the field ID of the “Text” field called “Value 2”.
    5. Field To Update= 1a29-ce82-ba82 is the field ID of the “Text” field called “Condition 1”.
    6. True Value= True
    7. False Value= False

Note:

  • Under “Field 1” and “Field 2”, please add either the field merge ID of another element on the form or a static value to be checked.
  • Under “Operator”, select the conditional operation to be performed against “Field 1” and “Field 2”.
  • Under “Field To Update”, add the field merge ID of the field from Form where the actual resultant value is to be stored based on “True Value” or “False Value”.

  1. Test Your Form:
  • It will update the field labelled "Condition 1” based on the value of the fields labelled “Value 1” and “Value 2”.
