In this guide, we will walk through how to display an Alert message dynamically on the form when a user checks a Checkbox field.
This is achieved using a “Field Update Workflow” field, which evaluates a condition and triggers the “Alert Message” field.
This setup is useful when you want to:
- Show warnings or important notices
- Display conditional instructions
- Guide users based on their input
1. INITIAL SETUP:
- Drag and drop a “Checkbox”, “Alert Message” and a “Field Update Workflow” field onto your form.
- Rename the fields as needed.

2. CONFIGURE THE “ALERT MESSAGE” FIELD:
- Click the pencil icon on the “Alert Message” field.
- Set “Alert Message Position”: This controls the placement of the message, ensuring it is displayed in a noticeable location.
- Add an “Alert Message”: Text you want to display on the form. This is the main content that users will see, so keep it clear and easy to understand.
- Add “Alert Message Type”: This helps users quickly understand the importance and context of the message through visual styling.
- Set “Alert Message Display Duration in Seconds”: It will set how long the alert message should remain visible on the screen.

3. CONFIGURE THE “FIELD UPDATE WORKFLOW” FIELD:
- Click the pencil icon on the “Field Update Workflow” field.
- Set “Rule Criteria”:
The Checkbox field || equals || 1

- Set “Field Updates Success”:
- Alert Message field || event || run

4. TEST YOUR FORM:
- Try the form.

- Check the Checkbox.
- The Alert Message will be displayed on the screen.
