Set Form Field Values With Current User Merge Fields Using The Field Update Workflow

This guide will explain how to update the form field with the merge field using the Field Update Workflow field.

Using the Merge fields, we will set the user's email address and full name as default values.

We will use the Field Update Workflow field to update the default value.

Drag and drop a Text, an Email and two Field Update Workflow fields. Rename the Text and Email fields as shown below.

Click the pencil icon of the first Field Update Workflow field. And set the “Field Updates” for the Text field.

We will use the system merge field Formyoula_Created_By to update the Text field with the current user’s full name.

User’s Full Name || value || {{Formyoula_Created_By}}

Click the pencil icon of the second Field Update Workflow field. And set the “Field Updates” for the Email field.

We will use the system merge field Formyoula_User_Email to update the Email field with the current user’s email address.

User’s Email ID || value || {{Formyoula_User_Email}}

Try the form. It will update the fields with the current user's Full name and Email address.
