This guide will explain how to Report a Problem Using a Popup Field without submitting a Form.
- Initial Setup:
- Drag and drop an âEmailâ, two âField Update Buttonâ, a âPopup Field Sectionâ, a âTextAreaâ, a âPhotoâ, a âFile Uploadâ, a âSent Emailâ, and a âHiddenâ field onto your form.
- Rename the field as needed.
2. Configuring The First âField Update Buttonâ Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the first âField Update Buttonâ field.
- Set âField Updatesâ as â
Popup Field Section || event || popup:open
â - Now, clicking the button will trigger the âPopup Field Sectionâ field.

- Save the changes.
- Configuring The âPopup Field Sectionâ Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the âPopup Field Sectionâ field.
- Update âPopup Titleâ as needed.
- Select âPopup Section Fieldsâ as shown below.
- Save the changes.
- Configuring The âFile Uploadâ Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the âFile Uploadâ field.
- Update the âButton Labelâ as needed.
- Update the âParent Record Idâ option with the Hidden fieldâs label.
- Set Object Type as âFileâ.
- Configuring The Second âField Update Buttonâ Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the second âField Update Buttonâ field.
- Set âField Updatesâ as

- Save the changes.
- Configuring The âSend Emailâ Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the âSend Emailâ field.
- Fill in the âTemplate Idâ and âConnection Idâ.
- Save the changes.
- You can copy the âTemplate Idâ from the form edit page on the builder site.
- You can copy the âConnection Idâ from the Email connection page.
- Configuring The âHiddenâ Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the âHiddenâ field:
- Set the

system merge field as âValueâ. - Set âYesâ for the âEnable Merge Fieldsâ option.
- Save the changes.
- Setup an âEmailâ connection:
- Go back to the Dashboard. Click on â(Add)â under the âConnectionsâ column or click on the âCreate a Connectionâ button, or select âAdd/Edit Connectionsâ from the âActionsâ available list.
- Select âEmailâ from the available connections list and click âCreate Connection >>â.
- Fill in the âTo Emailâ option.
- Here, {{82e9-f8f8-fdbe}} is the field ID of the âTo Emailâ field.
- Add a subject to your email.
- Set up your âEmail Bodyâ with the field labels, field IDs and the link as shown below.

- Save the changes.
- Form Setup:
- Click the âSetupâ button on your form edit page.
- Select the âDisable Standard Navigationâ option.
- Save the changes by clicking the âSave changesâ button.
- Test the form:
- Try the form.
- Fill in an email ID to report a problem.
- And click the icon-based floating button.
- It will display the âPopup Field Sectionâ field.
- Add Description, Screenshot and Screen recording.
- Click the Submit button.
- It will show a success message.
- And it will send an email with the Description, Screenshot and Screen recording link.
