Navigation With Multiple Options

This guide will explain how to navigate with multiple options to update a Case object status and close the form.

1. Initial Setup:

  • Drag and drop a “Salesforce Lookup”, a Hidden, a “Popup Field Section”, two “Field Update Workflow, and an “Auto Submit” field.
  • Rename the fields as needed.

  1. Configuring The “Salesforce Lookup” Field:
  • Click the pencil icon of the “Salesforce Lookup” field.
  • Set “Case” as “Object”.
  • Select “Display Additional Fields”.

  1. Configuring The “Popup Field Section” Field:
  • Click the pencil icon of the “Popup Field Section” field.
  • Update the “Popup Title” as needed.
  • Select the “Popup Section Fields”.
  • Here, we are selecting both “Field Update Buttons” fields.

  1. Configuring The First “Field Update Button” Field:
  • Click the pencil icon of the first “Field Update Button” field.
  • Set “Field Updates”:

‘Status || value || Closed’

‘Auto Submit || event || run’

  1. Configuring The Second “Field Update Button” Field:
  • Click the pencil icon of the second “Field Update Button” field.
  • Set “Field Updates”:

‘Status || value || Working’

‘Auto Submit || event || run’

  1. Configuring The “Auto Submit” Field:
  • Click the pencil icon of the “Auto Submit” field.
  • Set “None” as “Action Type”.
  • Set “Submit” as “Action”.
  • Save the changes.

  1. Form Setup page:
  • Click “Setup”.

  • Select the “Disable Standard Navigation” option.
  • Save the changes.

  1. Establishing A “Salesforce” Connection:
  • Click the "Add" button under the "Connections" column or press on the "Create a Connection" button under the "Next Step" column or select "Add/ Edit Connections" from the "Actions" list.

  • Select "Salesforce" from the available connections list and click "Create Connection".

  • Select the Salesforce Object and click “Save and Continue”.

  • Map Formyoula “Hidden” field to the Case object “Status“ field.

  • Click “Salesforce Record Settings”.

  • Set “Record Lookup” under the “Update Based On Lookup” option.
  • Save the changes.

  1. Test The Form:
  • Try the form.

  • Search for a case.

  • Click the “Submit” button.

  • It will give you two options.
  • Click the “Save and Close the Case” button.

  • It will update the case status as “Closed”.

  • Or click the “Save and Keep the Case Open” button.

  • It will update the case status as “Working”.
