Merge Form Fields Into Formatted Text Displays

This guide will explain how to use the “Rich Text Display” field to display formatted text that automatically pulls in data from your form fields.

This is perfect for creating personalised confirmation messages, professional receipts, summaries, and dynamic content that updates in real-time as users fill out the form.

  1. INITIAL SETUP:
  • Drag and drop the input fields you want to display. Here we are using a “Text”, an “Email”, a “Date”, and a “Text Area” field.
  • Rename the fields as needed.
  • These fields will serve as the data source(merge field) for the “Rich Text Display” field.

  • Drag and drop a "Rich Text Display" field onto your form.

  1. CONFIGURE THE “RICH TEXT DISPLAY” FIELD:
  • Click the pencil icon of the "Rich Text Display" field.
  • Click in the "Rich Text Content" editor area.
  • Type your message and format it as needed using the toolbar options (bold, italic, lists, etc.)
  • Add Merge Fields To Display Form Data:
    • Merge fields automatically pull data from your form fields into the display.
    • Here, {{b711-a14c-ed06}} is the field ID of the “Full Name” field. {{53fa-6c03-76bc}} is the field ID of the “Email” field. {{be2a-eb3a-4aab}} is the field ID of the “Date of Submission” field. {{671f-376f-fa80}} is the field ID of the “Additional Notes” field.

  • Enable the "Enable Reload on Merge Field Change" option. This will update the display in real-time as users fill in or modify form fields.

  1. TEST YOUR FORM:
  • The “Rich Text Display” field will display the formatted text.

  • Filling in the input fields will update the Rich Text Display immediately if reload is enabled.
