This guide explains how to show or hide a field based on the option selected in a Select field. In this example, the "Send Welcome Pack" Checkbox field will only be displayed when the user selects "New Customer" in the "Customer Type" Select field. For any other Customer Type value, the "Send Welcome Pack" field will remain hidden.
We will use the Field Update Workflow field to control the visibility of the Checkbox field automatically based on the selected value.
1. Initial Setup:
- Drag and drop a “Select”, a “Checkbox”, and a “Field Update Workflow” field.
- Rename the fields as needed.
2. Configure The "Select" Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the “Select” field.
- Add “Select Options” as shown below.
3. Configure The "Field Update Workflow" Field:
- Click the pencil icon on the “Field Update Workflow” field.
- Under "Rule Criteria", configure the following:
Customer Type | equals | New Customer
- This condition checks whether the selected Customer Type is "New Customer".
- Under "Field Updates Success", configure:
Send Welcome Pack | hidden | false
- This will display the "Send Welcome Pack" Checkbox when "New Customer" is selected.
- Under "Field Updates Fail", configure:
Send Welcome Pack | hidden | true
- This will hide the "Send Welcome Pack" Checkbox when the selected Customer Type is not "New Customer".
- Save the changes.
4. Test Your Form:
- Try your form.
- Select "New Customer" from the "Customer Type" field.
- The "Send Welcome Pack" Checkbox will be displayed.
