In this guide, we will explain how to generate a Salesforce File link in the Email from a PDF created by a Salesforce connection.
Drag and drop a Text, an Email and a Signature field. Save the Form.
Click on “(Add)” under the “Connections” column or click on the “Create a Connection” button, or select “Add/Edit Connections” from the “Actions” available list.
Select “Salesforce” from the available connections list and click “Create Connection >>”
Select “Account” from the available Salesforce Object list and click “Save and Continue”.
Map the “Text” field to the “Account Name”.
Set “Files” for the “PDF Attachment” under the “Salesforce Record Settings”.
Create a second Salesforce connection. And Select “Contact” from the available Salesforce Object list and click “Save and Continue”.
Map the fields as shown below.
Set “Files” for the “PDF Attachment” under the “Salesforce Record Settings”.
Create the third connection, select “Email” from the available connections list and click “Create Connection >>”
Under the Email Connection Settings, fill in the highlighted fields:
To Email: The email ID where you want to send the email.
Add Cc: Field ID of the email field in the form to add cc in the email (optional).
Include Entry PDF Attachment: “Yes” (It will attach an entry PDF with the email).
Email Subject: You can give a subject to your Email.
Paste the IDs in the Email Body. Save the changes.
Use this format:
Contact Record Id – {{5fac105b365e88002bb30083}} – Contact FIle Id – {{5fac105b365e88002bb30083_file}}
Account Record Id – {{5fac103ed03fac0020c77c0c}} – Account FIle Id – {{5fac103ed03fac0020c77c0c_file}}
Make sure the connection Sequence is the same as shown below.
On the dashboard, click “PDF Editor” under “Actions”.
Click PDF Settings.
Fill in the “Image DPI” and “Image Quality” as shown below. Save the changes.
Try the form.
When you submit the form it will send an email showing contact record ID, contact file ID, account record ID and account file ID in the email body with an attached entry PDF.
Open the attached PDF you will get a Salesforce File link with the form entry.
It takes you to the Salesforce file by clicking on the link.
