This guide will explain how to set the default shipping address and prefill it on the other form. We will prepare two forms, the “Default Shipping Address Form” and the “Customer Form”.
The Default Shipping Address Form:
- We will create a form to set the default shipping address.
- Initial Setup:
- Drag and drop a “TextArea”, a Text, a “Select”, a “Global Text Merge Fields” and a “Navigation” field onto your form to set the default shipping address.
- Rename the fields as needed.
- Configuring The Select Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the Select field.
- Update the Country names in Select Options.
- Configuring The “Global Text Merge Fields” Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the “Global Text Merge Fields” field.
- Add “Global Merge Fields”.
- You can use a unique name for each ”Global Merge Key”.
- Fill in the field ID of the address fields in the “Value” option as shown below. It will set the field value to the ”Global Merge Key”.
- {{c8dc-7114-a0f4}} is the field ID of the “TextArea” field named “Shipping Street”.
- {{11c4-effa-bfae}} is the field ID of the “Text” field named “Shipping City”.
- {{7d79-a702-9c47}} is the field ID of the “Select” field named “Shipping Country”.
- Set “Get/Set” for the option “Action”.
- Configuring The “Navigation” Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the “Navigation” field.
- Set the “Button Action” to “Cancel And Close Form”.
- Update the “Button Confirm Message”.
- Save the changes.
- Form Setup:
- Click “Setup” on the form builder.
- Disable the Standard Navigation and the Auto Save and Draft Entry Creation options.
- Click “Save Changes”.
The customer form:
- We will create a second form to prefill the default shipping address.
- Initial Setup:
- Drag and drop a “TextArea”, a “Text”, a “Select” and a “Global Text Merge Fields” field onto your form to prefill the default shipping address.
- Rename the fields as needed.
- Configuring The “Select” Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the Select field.
- Update the Country names in Select Options.
- Configuring The “Global Text Merge Fields” Field:
- Click the pencil icon of the “Global Text Merge Fields” field.
- Add Global Merge Fields.
- Use the same unique name for the ”Global Merge Key” we used in the “Default Shipping Address Form”.
- Fill in the field ID of the address fields in the “Value” option as shown below. It will prefill the fields with the “Global Merge Key” value.

- {{3b34-46a6-b3e2}} is the field ID of the “Text” field named “City”.
- {{4496-46f2-051f}} is the field ID of the “Select” field named “Country”.
- Set “Get” for the option “Action”.
- Save the changes.
- Test The Default Shipping Address Form:
- Fill up the shipping address. It will set the address as the default shipping address.
- Test The customer form:
- It will prefill the default shipping address.
